MV

I discovered this beautiful collection of rings and jewels when having a stroll in London near Bond Street. I think it was fate that drew me to this magical place, as I have been searching high and low for the perfect piece of affordable jewellery incorporating crystals silver and gold. Which happens to be what this little shop provides. PERFECTION.
The doll that made these lovely pieces:

'Award Winning Monica Vinader who is always unexpected, always unique and always a touch extravagant.
The jewellery tells the story of a life lived collecting curiosities and stories the world over.'

Sounds good to me.

DEAR SANTA.

Ok, it is officially 21 days to Christmas EEEP!. To say I am a big kid when it comes to Christmas is an understatement.
I adore the smells, the sounds, the glittering lights, the feeling you get when mulled wine hits your throat and warms you to your toes.

The Christmas tree is officially going up next weekend and will take pride of place in our little home. If you like I love the smell of Christmas trees then you might come close to the excitement I am feeling right now. I love thinking of crazy presents for friends with a personal touch, like little homemade Christmas stockings..
Cute, I know.

I am no novice at writing the annual Christmas list, my wardrobe is bursting as the brim alas I still manage to find things I need want.

Being a little shop-a-holic does have its draw backs as I know what I like and what I want and if I don’t like it then I just have to whip out the old 'oh its lovely' come Christmas morning. However I am rather picky if a shop doesn’t give off the right vibe or have the right smell I can but put off in an instant. (I’m a nutter.. I know)

So with this in mind it is rare that I buy myself the simple, but wonderful things like nail varnish, accessories, books, tights, perfume, makeup etc. (All those lovely little things that make Christmas that little bit more exciting knowing that you are well stocked on all of the above for the coming year.)

I did have every intention of solidifying my "I can’t think if anything” slogan while making this little mood board, however it took all my will power to stop adding more wonderful things. (Friends and family take note!!!)

Ok... so my above argument fell flat on its face. I know exactly what I would like to find under the Christmas tree this year.

Style Muse

After having had ‘one of those days’ I decided to reflect upon who my style muses are and came up with this

I have always had quite the fascination with the 50’s and 60’s and the music of the 70’s and 80’s. There is something terribly romantic about the sixties and seventies, and I think that this is why I sometimes look to these eras for inspiration. I am a total romantic, and even the photography makes me fall in love with that moment that it has captured. But slightly off the point I think I have an obsession to soft fringes even though unfortunately I cannot pull one off quite as well as Bridget.
People like Audrey and Bridget, both possess true beauty. Their tiny frames and entrancing smiles, framed with beautifully styled hair remind me how I wish I had a hairdresser at my disposal
It is undeniable that these women are both icons in their own right and always will be.

Another more modern favourite of mine is the babe that is Claudia Winkleman now yes I know she is a bit of an unconventional style muse, but there is just something about her which I find captivating, that orange tan, the big black eyeliner or that barnet which i would kill for. Who knows...

Just look at her...  a total babe!
So in conclusion all the above is needed. Big hair, lots of make up, an abundance of fake tan, sheer fabrics and lots of black, all adds up to create the perfect style bubble for me.

LOVE

With the deadline for UCAS fast approaching I have found my stress-omiter going through the roof so in these testing times I have decided to resort to what I do best... shopping
So here are a few loves, lusts and wishes
This is little collection revolves around these amazing black velvet healed Chelsea boots which quite literally make my life and would be perfect addition to my wardrobe! Another major love of mine is animal print the TOPSHOP midi skirt is so lovely and silky, perfect for winter.
Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year in England; I adore layering, fluffy coats, cozy shoes and as much fur as physically possible! Plus the occasional sparkle here and there is never a bad idea.
Bring on pay day.

CHEMISTRY

Beautiful Song. Beautiful Boy.

HIYA MOON

I have an epic need love  for these necklaces from http://www.hiyamoon.com/

For some time now I have be searching the high street in want of a beautiful but edgy piece of jewellery which I am able to where with everything to any event. There are many beautiful pieces out there which alas are a little out of my price range, as being a poor student and only having a Saturday job hardly leaves me with many options bar robbing a bank.
Then, when having a browse at a friend’s blog I stumbled across these scrummy pieces! It was quite literally fate drifting its magical hand over my life and dropping these into my lap.

The beauty of these pendants is that they are made from old recycled bullet casings, varying in size and shape, and each encasing a beautiful crystal, which have their own properties like healing and creativity (very snazzy)
But when looking at them it doesn’t help but make me think about how something so dark and menacing could be made into something beautiful.

Hopefully not too far in the distant future one of these pendants will be gracing my wardrobe, to work thier magic and settle my jewllery crisis
The creator of these wondrous items is Matthew South, and you Sir get two thumbs up from me.

MUST HAVE.

1.

So here goes nothing, the first entry. I have no real idea what to make about my ideal blog, it doesn't have any specific shape or form. I have been putting off having a blog for a long time now, due to not wanting to force my useless ramblings onto others (even though friends and family have been putting up with it for years), but now I have to come to the conclusion that, I just don't care.
You may want to read this, have a look at the pictures which have caught my eye, or just mooch at my general musings of that particular day.

This blog for me will simply be a place for all of  my many unorganised ideas, to plonk down and hope that they manage to organise themselves into some sort of order. It may grab the attention of you and help to inspire ideas, or just be a sort of creative outlet for me when i
I'm having 'one of those days' But whatever shape this blog takes it will be full of beautiful and wondeful things, and the odd random thought just thrown in. It will also help me to make my mark on this big world however small it may be, because who knows
inspiration can take may forms and gives no warnings.

In the end being normal is just plain boring.
